Brow Lift
Elevate the brows for a more open, rested expression.
Overview
A brow lift (forehead lift) raises the eyebrows and forehead tissues to create a more alert, rested, and youthful appearance. Dr. Kieu uses advanced endoscopic techniques that minimize incisions and recovery time while achieving natural elevation of the brow position.
Who This Is For
- Patients with low or heavy brows that create a tired or angry appearance
- Individuals with deep horizontal forehead creases
- Those with frown lines between the brows that persist at rest
- Patients seeking a complementary procedure to upper eyelid surgery or facelift
Who This Is Not For
- Patients with very high brows who need brow lowering instead
- Individuals with active skin infections or scalp conditions
- Those who only need temporary improvement (Botox is an alternative)
- Patients with significant medical comorbidities that increase surgical risk
The Process
Evaluation: Dr. Kieu assesses your brow position, forehead muscle activity, and skin elasticity to determine the ideal brow height and arch shape for your facial structure.
Planning: The surgical approach is selected — typically endoscopic (3-5 small incisions behind the hairline) or direct brow lift through an upper eyelid crease incision.
Procedure: Under general anesthesia or IV sedation, the forehead tissues are gently lifted, muscles that cause frown lines are partially released, and the brows are secured in their elevated position.
Healing: Incisions are hidden within the scalp or natural creases. Most patients resume normal activities within 7-10 days. Final brow position settles over 2-3 months.
